E-Residence Document (formerly referred to as Maltese ID cards)
With the introduction of the new E-residence document in January 2013, all foreigners living in Malta need to apply for their E-Residence document. Current ID cards issued by the ID cards office will remain valid until their expiry date or until 31st March 2013, whichever is the earlier.
Application forms need to be submitted at the Department for Citizenship and Expatriate Affairs strictly by appointment.
We can provide you with the necessary information and guidance in connection with procurement of the E-Residence Document, which is an important and obligatory document to obtain once you are a resident of Malta.
